Nestled between Camps Bay and Hout Bay lies Llandudno; one of Cape Town’s most beautiful and desirable suburbs. The Llandudno scenery is picturesque, to say the least – soft, white, glistening sand framed by towering boulders speckled in between the shore and the Atlantic ocean.
Along this coastline is a home boasting both mountain and ocean views. The home belongs to a family of avid cooks and bakers brought together over their love for food. This culinary passion placed importance on the ergonomics of the kitchen along with the aesthetics, and so the obvious choice for the space was our Italian HD23 kitchen in the opulent Matt Lacquer Fumo finish. The island was tastefully paired with our Leo bar stools. Above it is the Agata & Lapis pendant lights, which add a sculptural element to the space.
A fellow company from The Excellence Group, Craft Furniture, locally manufactured the rustic oak elements; artfully contrasting the darker finishes. The textures and materials are brought together by the refreshing Abu Dhabi Silk Neolith countertop, known for its soft gold veining which beautifully compliments the soft timber elements.
Each element of this kitchen was carefully curated to complement the homeowner’s way of cooking. As avid bakers, they wanted ample space for prepping and storing their various appliances. This was achieved by creating a spacious island with minimal interruptions by moving both the prep bowl and hob to the back run. Eurocasa’s design team worked closely with the client to create a kitchen tailored to their lifestyle.
