House Sabra

Fairhaven Estate in Somerset West overlooks the magnificent mountains of the Helderberg, borders extensive vineyards and is mirrored by the seemingly endless blue shimmer of the ocean. This home offers sweeping views of the incredible landscape and a tranquil setting surrounded by nature.

These clients wanted a design that gave a dark, yet contemporary feeling. The shades of deep brown and grey added to the extensive, stone effect. For a family of 6, plenty of space was non-negotiable! So we created small pockets for different functions to ensure a practical, organised and ergonomic kitchen.

To keep to the minimalist theme, we used the HT50. This model is known for its 50° mitred door and seemingly flush countertop that come together as seemingly one, uninterrupted unit. The back-run units have portals, emphasised through the use of dark colours as the worktops and splashbacks. These portals complemented the functional pockets of the kitchen. We also used a combination of glossy and matt lacquer to further enhance this effect.

We partnered with Infin8 Surfacing, a fellow solid surfacing company in The Excellence Group,  for this project. They did the solid surfacing countertops to match each of the drawer fronts. Our collaboration with Infin8 Surfacing allowed us to personalise the kitchen to the clients exact needs. The  elegance and quality of materials combined resulted in a magical and bespoke space.
